What all-season tires do well

All-season tires are built for a long tread life, a quiet ride and good grip on dry and wet roads. They are the standard tire on most new cars sold in Canada.

Where they fall short

Despite the name, all-season tires are not designed for a full Ontario winter. Once temperatures drop below about 7°C their rubber stiffens and grip falls off. Most GTA drivers pair all-season tires with a set of winter tires and swap them each spring and fall.

Choosing an all-season tire

  • Match the size, load index and speed rating on your door-jamb sticker.
